"Our" Horse..................................................................................................
St. Louis Carriage Company,
St. Louis, Missouri.  Greg Streeter, owner, and his employees have been most
accommodating when we have rented Cheval, the black Percheron.
He is a wonderful horse to drive.
UPDATE: Do to the death of Cheval in the fall of 2004, we now have
Rossie as "our horse."  He is also a black Percheron and a dream to drive.

My thanks to its Director, Jon Austin and Curator, Jason Meyers.
They afforded me the privilege of researching the personal papers of the late
Dr. Edward N. Johnson.  Dr. Johnson was one of the noted
authorities on embalming and funeral practices of the Civil War Era.
